Thank you for your patience as my team and I make progress since my last production update a month ago. Your anticipation and diligence comes through with the emails and messages that you’ve sent us, and we’re taking that energy and persistence into execution. Moving forward, I’ll provide weekly updates on progress until you have H.V.M.N. Ketone.
High-level housekeeping: We haven’t and won’t charge your credit card on file until your reserved H.V.M.N. Ketone allocation is ready to ship, and we’re still on track to start initial fulfillment in April 2018. We’re air-shipping the raw ketone ester to our bottling line to hit our target dates.
Example of a mass spectroscopy data representation:
Delay:
We were delayed a couple weeks as we onboarded third-party labs for mass spectroscopy analysis of our raw materials. Mass spectroscopy is a technique to identify the make-up and purity of a material sample. Our ketone ester is a completely novel foodstuff. Few mass spectroscopy labs have seen this ingredient, let alone have experience testing it against food safety standards. Kudos to our Operations team and our research partners at the University of Oxford for building a validation network of highly reputable, third-party, FDA registered and ISO accredited laboratories. I hope this conveys our diligence and patience to double and triple check our work to make sure you get the quality you’re paying for.
Air Freight To Catch Up:
We’re working with Flexport to arrange an expedited air freight service for the first lot of raw ketone ester. We expect half a metric ton of ketone ester to hit our bottling lines within the next two weeks. It’s expensive to fly 55 gallon drums of ketone ester, but we will take the hit on our short-term bottom line to bring you H.V.M.N. Ketone as soon as humanly possible.
Sincerely,
Geoffrey Woo, CEO of H.V.M.N.
